Street Bomb Composite

Explosion was entirely composited, fire, smoke, dust, etc.

Superman Doomsday Logo

VFX for Superman Doomsday Logo using displacement mapping, particle fire, particle smoke as well as composited real world smoke elements and other tricks.

Aerial Cloud Test

This was a test using a single image as the main source for the effect. This effect was not generated using a particle system.

Earth Zoom Simulation

This was an effect creating a geographic zoom effect simulation from high resolution graphics.

Inner City Blast Effect

This was a project combining multiple effects to get the feeling of a nebulous effect in the city. There is the inner funnel with sprites, the orb blast, the ground plane effect with sprites and the custom particle to simulate paper flying around.

Muzzle Flash Test

These are some muzzle flash test I did last night. The first test shows a custom muzzle flash and tracers. No animation on the gun or light effects. The camera shake was scripted to give the gun more weight. The 2nd test adds rotation to the muzzle flash.

Snow Particle Test

This is a snow particle test done with Particular. The first particle system is generating 30,000 particles in the first field and for the second I added another particle system generating 1,000 more particles in the 2nd field for the particles closest to the camera to help with the illusion of depth.

Bats Particle Test

This was a test creating a custom animated particle in Particular.

Ground Reflection Test

This was a test done in AFX in order to get the reflections, specularity and lighting correct.

Cloud Test

Smoke Trail Test

Here are some smoke test I did last night using some HDR and EXR images. The particle system was done with Particular and the background is manipulated using Horizon.

Porsche Commercial

This is a clip from a commercial I worked on a while back. The air was a particle system generated in 3DSmax and the system was tracked in Combustion.

The Fear of Living Character Concepts

The first phase of my animated short The Fear of Living aka TFOL has begun and the Character Concepts have been completed. LeveL Graphic Novel

A while back many of you heard that we wrote a theatrical script titled LeveL. As well many of you heard that we were working on a graphic novel teaser to give an illustrated glimpse into the script. Well, I am happy to say that the graphic novel teaser is finally complete.

The purpose of the teaser was to give the consumer a quick glimpse into the world of LeveL and to highlight some of the more exciting moments of the screenplay as a result to drive interest towards the full theatrical script.

So when you have a moment, give it a quick read and let me know your thoughts.
